AKATag Incredible atmosphere throughout, real character. Brave to go with something so minimal because everything has to be perfect; and is. Love it. How you can make something like this with only field recordings proves a certain level of skill that not many others would be able to attain. Top class.

about

An experiment.
I have been interested in more academic leaning styles of electronic music for a while now, like Electroacoustic and Musique concrete. I finally decided to try and make something like that, which went surprisingly well. All elements just came together rather quickly, and I am quite happy with the results.

All the sounds you hear are from my own field recordings, they could be considered documents of travel and movement - and not just my own, but also the neverending movement cycles of water, from the atmosphere to the earth's surface, into the ground, further on to the sea and back into the atmosphere.

Recordings used include:
Water flowing in a drain pipe, near my home near Voitsberg, Austria
Melting snow and a plane passing by, also near my home
A hailstorm, also near my home
A construction site at the University of Graz
Drilling on a street in Munich, Germany
Announcements and trains passing at the train station in Cologne, Germany
A water heater in a flat in Unna, Germany
Cow bells (like, from actual cows), somewhere near Sommereben, Austria
